Jajpur: Sub-Inspector of Police, Binjharpur, Fakir Mohan Singh, has been caught red-handed by Odisha Vigilance for taking bribe on Monday.
Singh was caught taking Rs 6,000 bribe money from a complainant to favour him in a case registered at Binjharpur police station.
Based on the complaint, a trap was laid and Singh was caught taking the money in his office room.
On the other hand, simultaneous searches have been launched on the house of Singh at Binjharpur, his paternal house at Kandarpur in Cuttack district and office room at Binjharpur police station. He has been arrested and forwarded to the court.
