Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Friday announced that all the Bonda women will covered under Odisha government’s flagship fund transfer scheme, Subhadra Yojana.
The Bonda women will also receive a top up amount of Rs 50,000 under the AWAS scheme, since building houses there involves extra expenses, she said during a visit to Bonda Ghati in Malkangiri district.
Parida also directed officials to resolve the issues related to disbursal of Subhadra money among the women from Bonda group and identifying those who have been opted out of the scheme.
There are 31 villages under two GPs in Bonda Ghati and a total of 1,522 applications (748 from Mudulipada panchayat and 774 from Andrahal panchayat) were received for Subhadra scheme.
She further informed the last phase of first instalment of Rs 5,000 will be disbursed by the end of January.
The Deputy CM, who is on a three-day visit to Koraput and Malkangiri districts, stated that market linkage will be provided for jewellery of Bonda women after she held talks with them. They will be provided with stalls in Bhubaneswar, she added.
