Bhubaneswar: All eligible beneficiaries will get the first instalment of Subhadra Yojana, the flagship scheme of the Odisha government for women welfare, by March 8, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed on Wednesday.
“Around 92 lakh women have applied for the scheme and the first instalment has been disbursed to 25.11 lakh beneficiaries. The number will reach to 1 crore in a week. The first instalment will be credited to the bank accounts of those who are yet to receive the amount by March 8 when all beneficiaries will also get the second instalment,” she told reporters.
She attributed the delay to KYC authentication.
“The four slabs to reach the beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana will be finalised soon. Other than the taxpayers, all eligible beneficiaries got the assistance,” Parida assured.
The process for applying for the scheme is still on as the government has announced no closing date for the same.
