Bhubaneswar: Though the Odisha government has already released the first instalment of financial assistance under Subhadra Yojana in two phases, many several women are yet to receive the money in their bank accounts.
Amid confusion among the women who are yet to receive the money, the Odisha government on Saturday sought to clear doubts and stated that all beneficiaries will receive the financial assistance under the scheme.
Giving an assurance to the beneficiaries, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said disbursement of the first instalment will continue until the last of the applicants gets her money. “Eligible beneficiaries who are yet to receive the money due to some technical error will receive a phone call from the government,” she said.
If there is an error in the application, the eligible beneficiaries will receive a phone call for initiating appropriate steps, the Deputy CM said, adding that verification will be done in block level. Anganwadi workers will make door-to-door visit to identify the beneficiaries and every eligible woman will get the money under the scheme, Parida told reporters.
The Deputy CM also stated that the third phase of disbursement of first instalment will begin in time. Money has already been released to over 60,000 women and financial assistance will be provided to more than one crore beneficiaries under Subhadra Yojana.
Stating that there is no reduction in the budget for Subhadra Yojana, the Deputy CM said the selection will continue till the last beneficiary is found and so also the disbursement of money under the scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the scheme in Bhubaneswar on his birthday on September 17. Under the scheme, over 25 lakh beneficiaries received Rs 5000 in their bank accounts in the first installment for the year 2024. The Subhadra money was again sent to over 35,000 more in the second phase on October 9.
