Cuttack: BJD leader Subhash Singh took oath as the Mayor of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Thursday.
He was administered the oath of office by Sangramjit Nayak, Director, Municipal Administration.
Singh defeated his nearest rival Congress’ Giribala Behera by 45,206 votes in the elections for the CMC Mayor post.
The elections for the post of CMC Deputy Mayor will be held on Thursday.
