Bhubaneswar: A delegation of FICCI Forum of Parliamentarians is on a three-day visit to Tokyo as part of an initiative undertaken by the apex business chamber to enhance ties between India and Japan.
“The India-Japan bilateral relationship is amongst the most important and has grown deeper on account of shared values and s
trategic interests which are closely aligned. There are multiple engagements both at multilateral and bilateral level which have added strength, and FICCI will work to bring together various stakeholders — especially businesses on both sides — to realise the full potential,” said FICCI president IMFA managing director Subhrakant Panda.
The delegation, led by MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy, also has a cross-section of Members of Parliament from various political parties. The delegation has had several important meetings, including with former Japanese PM Yoshihide Suga, Minister for Economy, Trade & Investment Yasutoshi Nishimura, ‘Ganesha Group’ of Japanese MPs with an interest in India, and Ambassador of India Sibi George.
