Balasore: Eminent scientist Subodh Kumar Nayak has joined as Director of Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Odisha’s Chandipur.
He was appointed as the director on January 19.
Born in Sambalpur, Nayak did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla and M.Tech from IIT-Mumbai in aerospace engineering. After completing his Fellowship at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT)-Pune, he joined as a scientist in the DRDO-Pune in September 1994 and worked on several projects in different capacities.
Nayak has decades of experience as a scientist in the manufacturing and development of warhead systems.
