Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated across Odisha amid COVID-19 restrictions.
Unlike last year, educational institutions have been allowed to observe the festival this year. A maximum of 20 participants is allowed. No feast/prasad will be served.
According to the guidelines, congregation is not allowed at public places where the festival is being celebrated. People need to maintain social distancing and follow COVID appropriate behaviour.
The pandals have been covered on three sides with one side open only for the purpose of use by the priest for rituals. The fourth side has been covered properly so as not to allow any public view/darshan of the idols by devotees.
