Sudhansu Sarangi Appointed Twin City Police Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Sudhanshu Sarangi has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack. The 1990-batch IPS officer will replace 1988-batch officer Satyajit Mohanty, who has been posted as Additional DG of Police Prisons and Director Correctional Service, Bhubaneswar.

These appointments are part of a major reshuffle in the IPS cadre effected by the Odisha government on Monday.

Sarangi earlier served as Director State Crime Records Bureau, Bhubaneswar. Rajesh Kumar, a 1998-batch IPS officer, will replace him. He earlier served as IG of Police, FS, HG and CD, Cuttack.

Similarly, Mohanty will replace Mahendra Pratap, who has been appointed Director, Printing Press and Stationary, Cuttack. Additional DG of Police, Law and Order, Sanjeeb Panda has been appointed as Transport Commissioner, Cuttack. Additional DG of Police (operations) R P Koche will replace him.
