Suicide Pact: Family Loses Its Other Son In Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: One among the five member of a family, which had attempted mass suicide, succumbed while undergoing treatment at VIMSAR, Burla, on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Srikant Biswal (33) of Lahandabuda under BTM police limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.

On Tuesday, Srikant, along with his mother and three sisters tried to end their live by consuming phenyl following the death of his younger brother Deepak Biswal (22), who was bed-ridden for two year after sustaining critical injuries in an accident in 2018.

Police with the help of neighbours rescued them and got them admitted to the Jharsuguda District headquarters hospital. Srikant was later shifted to VIMSAR after his condition deteriorated.
