Jajpur: Sukinda police jointly with Kapilas police arrested the prime accused in the Sukinda gang-rape case from Kapilas in Dhenkanal.
The accused has been identified as Sabyasachi Beura.
Acting on the complaint lodged by the girl’s father, Jajpur police had launched a manhunt to nab the accused. Mobile tracking lead them to Beura’s hideout.
BJP workers on Thursday had gheraoed Sukinda police station, demanding immediate arrest of those involvement in the alleged gang rape of the girl.

The incident had taken place on Wednesday evening. In the complaint, the girl’s father had named a relative of a former Minister and another youth for the alleged crime.
