Berhampur: Making new ground, the newly established SUM Hospital at Sitalapalli in Berhampur of Odisha’s Ganjam district has been undertaking high-grade glioma surgeries.
High-grade gliomas, a category of aggressive brain tumours, require intricate surgical expertise which is now available in this hospital, said its Director Deba Prasad Dash.
The surgeries are being conducted by expert neuro surgeon Dr Paresh Gouda who is known for his precision and expertise in the field which has enhanced the hospital’s reputation as a leading centre of advanced neurological care.
Expressing happiness at the hospital’s expanding capabilities, Dash said, “Our commitment is to provide world class neurosurgical care to the people of south Odisha who do not have to travel to far off cities for such treatment.”
With the availability of advanced imaging systems, cutting-edge operating suites and a skilled neurosurgical team led by Dr Gouda, the hospital is setting new benchmarks in neurological care, he said.
Dash also emphasised the hospital’s holistic approach combining surgical excellence with compassionate care. “Our focus is on precision and reduction of risk to ensure better outcomes for our patients,” he said adding, “we are confident of offering hope to patients with the most complex neurological conditions.”
