Summer Vacation Begins In ST & SC Residential Schools In Odisha Amid Heatwave

Bhubaneswar: Amid intense heatwave conditions across Odisha, summer vacation was announced in all residential schools for STs SCs in the state from Sunday.

According to sources, the hostels and mess of the residential schools run by the SC and ST Development department will remain till April 27 for the convenience of the students.

As per the decision, these residential schools and hostels are scheduled to reopen on June 19.

This apart, the government has already announced summer vacation in all other schools across the state from April 25 in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions.

Ahead of the summer vacation, morning classes will be held in all government and aided schools across the state between 6.30 am to 10.30 am for three days from Monday, an official notification said.
