Rourkela: The Sundargarh district reported 56 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total infection tally to 973.
While sharing details of the patients, the district administration tweeted, “56 cases reported but 46 have been sent for re-confirmation.”
Among the remaining 10 patients, two are returnees of Bangalore and Surat while six are from Sri Ram Nagar and are asymptomatic direct and risk contacts. The rest two cases have no travel history.
Eight of them had tested positive for the virus after undergoing a rapid antigen test, the tweet added.

With two deaths and 731 recoveries, Sundargarh now has 237 active cases.
