Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday appointed Rajesh Prabhakar Patil (a 2005-batch IAS officer) as Director, Special Project, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department.
“The additional appointment of Roopa Mishra as Director, Special Project, PR & DW Department shall stand terminated from the date Prabhakar takes over,” the notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department said.
In the minor bureaucratic reshuffle, three districts – Sundargarh, Dhenkanal and Sonepur – also got new collectors.
Sundargarh collector Rashmita Panda (2010-batch IAS officer) will replace Prabhakar as Director, Employment-cum-CEO, Odisha Skill Development Authority.
Dhenkanal collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan (a 2012-batch IAS officer) will take charge as Sundargarh collector, replacing Panda, who had earlier courted controversy for allegedly spending Rs 70 lakh on renovation of her residential quarter in Rourkela.
Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer Bhumesh Chandra Behera, who is currently serving as project director of DRDA in Sundargarh, will replace Kalyan.
Deputy Secretary to Home Department, Monisha Banerjee (a 2013-batch IAS officer), has been appointed as Sonepur collector and district magistrate.
