Mumbai: Two star kids paired opposite each other are set for their Bollywood debut.
Sunny Deol’s younger son Rajveer and Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma will be seen together in ‘Dono’, which will also mark the directorial debut of Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avnish.
On Saturday, the makers announced that ‘Dono’ will hit the theatres on October 5.
Rajveer, who made his Instagram debut recently, shared a poster of ‘Dono’ featuring him and Paloma, with the text ‘Dono… two strangers… one destination…’
“Dono aa rahe hai aapse milne (We both are coming to meet you) in cinemas on 5th October. Directed by @avnish.barjatya, co-starring @palomadhillon,” Rajveer wrote alongside the poster.
An ‘urban tale that celebrates romance, relationships and matters of the heart’, the film is set against the backdrop of a lavish destination wedding.
“Dev (Rajveer) – friend of the dulhan (bride), meets Meghna (Paloma) – friend of the dulha (groom). Amidst the festivities of a big fat Indian wedding, a heart-warming journey commences between two strangers who have one destination,” reads the film’s description.
The film’s makers recently released the title track of ‘Dono’, which was launched by Salman Khan and Bhagyashree – who were paired opposite each other in Sooraj Barjatya’s 1989 directorial debut ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’.
Last month, Sunny had shared the first poster of ‘Dono’ on Instagram, in which Rajveer and Paloma are seen sitting near the beach during sunset with their backs towards the camera.
“It’s the start of a new beginning! Dono teaser out tomorrow! Directed by @avnish.barjatya. Starring Rajveer Deol and Paloma Dhillon…” Sunny had written alongside the poster.
