Bhubaneswar: Finance minister Niranjan Pujari presented the supplementary budget in the Odisha Assembly on Wednesday amid uproar by the opposition.
The total allocation in the supplementary budget is Rs 8126.32 crore.
The Finance Minister said that the total debt of the state government stands at Rs 83,307 crore, which is 15.4 per cent of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
On the other hand, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro adjourned the House till the next day as bedlam continued to prevail with opposition Congress and BJP members demanding a discussion on rising atrocity against women in the state and the death of Haridaspur PEO Smitarani Biswal.
