Berhampur: A resident of Khandauli village in Odisha’s Ganjam district died in Ahmedabad-Puri Express on Monday night.
He was identified as Biswanath Jena, who was returning home from Surat along with three others of his village.
The others accompanying Jena informed his relatives that his health condition deteriorated in the train and he died around 11 pm.
The relatives said he was suffering from blood sugar issues. They informed the Berhampur Government Railway Police (GRP) who have started an investigation into the case.
Not willing to take chances, the GRP has detained Jena’s 3 co-passengers to test them for COVID-19. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
