Surge In Local Contact Cases Continues In Odisha’s Mayurbhanj; Tally Rises To 553

Mayurbhanj: The Mayurbhanj district reported 22 new cases in the last 24 hours, which pushed the affected tally to 553 on Sunday.

Among them, eight have been reported from quarantine centres, while three are COVID Warriors and the rest 11 are local contact cases.

The eight patients of quarantine centres are returnees from Gujarat, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.

Contract tracing of all cases are underway, district administration tweeted.

With 398 recoveries, the Mayurbhanj district has 153 active cases.
