Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed Susanta Nanda as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Chief Wildlife Warden.
The 1989-batch IFoS officer has been appointed to the post following the retirement of incumbent, Sushil Kumar Popli, on October 31 on attaining the age of superannuation. This will be Nanda’s additional charge apart from his current responsibilities, a notification issued by Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change said on Wednesday.
It further said that Nandankanan Zoological Park director Manoj V Nair will remain in additional charge of Chief Executive of Chilika Development Authority.
Similarly, Prafulla Kumar Mallik and Pradipta Kumar Sahoo have been assigned additional charge of FBA & IT & GIS and ME & IV wings, respectively, in the office of PCCF.
Sahoo’s appointment follows the retirement of Om Prakash Singh on October 31 on attaining the age of superannuation, the notification added.
