Mumbai: A Mumbai court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of hotelier Kunal Jani in connection with drugs cases related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Jani, a close friend of Sushant, had been absconding for close to year before Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested him from Mumbai’s Khar area on September 30. Jani had filed a bail petition which was heard by the Esplanade court.
Sushant was found hanging from his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020.
Several people, including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, were arrested last year to probe the drugs angle in the actor’s death case.
