Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Mahesh Bhatt To Record Statement, Says Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh

Mumbai: Mumbai Police will record the statement of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt in a couple of days regarding actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, according to Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Besides Bhatt, manager of producer-director Karan Johar has also been summoned to record the statement. If required, Johar himself will be asked to do so, Deshmukh said.

“Mahesh Bhatt will record his statement in a day or two,” Deshmukh was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

The police are probing into allegations that professional rivalry, besides clinical depression, may have led the actor to commit suicide.

“Summons have also been sent to actor Kangana Ranaut, asking her to record her statement,” Deshmukh said.
