Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested celebrity manager Rahila Furniturewala and businessman Karan Sajnani in drugs case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, according to news agency ANI.

As part of the investigation, the agency had quizzed both Furniturewala and Sajnani in the alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus. Both of them were earlier arrested in an investigation involving the seizure of high-end marijuana.

In connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and drug case, the NCB also arrested Jagtap Singh Anand on Thursday. Anand is the elder brother of Karamjeet alias KJ, who was earlier put under arrest in the same case. Several transactions have apparently been found between Jagtap, KJ and others.

Following official communication from the Enforcement Directorate, NCB began investigating the drugs angle in Rajput’s death case. In the process, the agency found chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide in his Mumbai apartment on 14 June 2020.
