Susmita Bagchi Joins As ‘Mo School’ Chairperson

Bhubaneswar: Odia novelist Susmita Bagchi joined as Chairperson of Mo School Abhijan on Monday.

It is an initiative to collaborate, connect and contribute for education of Odisha under School and Mass Education Department

A native of Cuttack, Bagchi is a well-known writer, storyteller and a philanthropist. She was conferred with the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 1993 for first-ever compilation of her short stories. Her novel ‘Deba Shishu’ was translated into English and published by Penguin as ‘ Child of a Better God’ to a great critical acclaim. Some of her popular Odia creations are – Asa Pherijiba, Bimalaa Darsan and Ekaa Patha Ekaa Pathika.
