Suspected COVID-19 Patient ‘Commits’ Suicide In Odisha

Rourkela: A man, who was in quarantine after he developed flu-like symptoms, was found hanging from a tree at Matalgada under Gurundia panchayat of Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ananda Kumar Lakra (30).

According to sources, he had returned from Maharashtra about 45 days ago. However, it was only recently that he developed flu-like symptoms and was put under quarantine near his locality.
However, he managed slip out of the facility and his body was later found hanging from a nearby tree.
On being informed, police reached the village and sent the body for post-mortem.
