Rourkela: The Bonai Block Education Officer (BEO), Binay Prakash Soy, on Sunday said that he was contemplating to move court over the midday meal row.
Soy was suspended on October 11 after a video, showing him having chicken curry alongside students, who were served only rice and dal during the midday meal, at Tileimal Primary School in Sundargarh district on October 3 went viral.

“I was not served chicken curry at the school. I will take up the matter with Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan and move court if I fail to get justice here,” he said.
Soy said that he was suspended without a show-cause notice.
“I have been sincerely working and taking errant teachers and clerks to task for past one year. Those punished could have plotted against me,” he said.
An assistant teacher of the school had also refuted the report and said that the BEO was only served fried bitter gourd, mashed potato and cucumber.
