New Delhi: The Delhi Police received a call of a suspected bomb inside a cluster bus in Narela area on Saturday.
The bomb disposal squad arrived at the site and examined the object. After examining it, Delhi Police stated that the threat was a hoax and further investigation is on.
Officials told ANI, the call was received from the Narela area near Chanchal Park, Bakarwala near CNG Pump Nangloi, and Najafgarh Road. Two fire tenders were also rushed to the site.
The bus conductor who called the police said that the bus started from Nangloi. Later, 10 to 12 passengers deboarded at Tilangpur Kotla. Under the seats of the bus, they saw something bomb-like. The driver stopped the bus and requested the passengers to get down and dialed the emergency no. 100, the officials added.
Officials of the Delhi police, PCR vans, bomb disposal squad of NSG and Delhi Fire Department personnel rushed to the spot and carried out an investigation following which it was ascertained that the threat was a hoax.
