Bhawanipatna: At least four persons were killed and seven others injured after the SUV in which they were travelling crashed into a truck in Odisha’s Kalahandi district late Monday night.
The accident took place at Turlakhaman on National Highway (NH)-217 under Kesinga police station, according to reports.
The victims were returning to Siskela in Bolangir from Pipalpadar after attending a marriage. They were travelling in a Bolero.
The deceased included three women. The injured were first shifted to Kesinga hospital and later to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bhawanipatna. Their condition is said to be critical. An injured child was shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.
