Noida: In an alarming breach of security, a speeding SUV vehicle rammed into Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s convoy on Friday night when he was on way to Delhi after attending an event in Sector 77 of Noida (UP).
Two people, identified as Ghaziabad residents Gaurav Solanki and Monu Kumar, have been arrested by UP police. Both were in an inebriated state, according to police.
The car in which the duo was travelling has been taken into custody by police.
The incident took place around 10 pm. A black Scorpio with a UP registration number plate, was travelling in the opposite direction when it abruptly made a U-turn and attempted to collide with the side of the Governor’s vehicle, reported English.mathrubhumi.com.
The car reportedly rammed into the Governor’s convoy twice.
No injuries were reported in the security breach.
Following the scary incident, the Governor was safely shifted to Kerala House in New Delhi.
Noida Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
