Bhubaneswar: With increased awareness, people prefer to play Holi with herbal colours now.
Like every year, Swapna Pati Foundation organised the festival of colours in a city-based hotel. This is the ninth ‘Herbal Holi’ festival organised by the foundation.
Ollywood star Sabyasachi, Arindam and Babi Mishra were present and enjoyed the event.
What made the event special this year was that Divyang children were invited to attend the entertainment programme.
Herbal colours, made from natural extracts of flowers, vegetables and minerals, petals of rose, marigold, hibiscus and bougainvillea, sandalwood, henna, tesu, turmeric, multani mitti, spinach and indigo, were used on the occasion. These colours are skin-friendly.
The purpose of the event is to spread awareness about the benefits of using chemical free organic colours on Holi.
