Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan or any of his family members did not order food online, yet it was delivered by Swiggy at Mannat on Monday evening.
Did the food delivery aggregator serve a special favour to the Bollywood Badshah?
Not quite.
It so happened that Shah Rukh decided to conduct one of his popular ‘AskSRK’ sessions – where fans send whatever questions they have for their superhero — on Twitter yesterday.
Questions came thick and fast, ranging from his upcoming films ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’, on what qualities he wants in his children and several random topics.
In a most hilarious exchange, one fan asked SRK if he had eaten.
“Khaana khaya kya bhai?” was the question.
In a typically cheeky response, Shah Rukh replied: “Kyun bhai aap Swiggy se ho… bhej doge kya (Are you from Swiggy brother… will you send food)?”
Since SRK took Swiggy’s name, the food delivery app responded.
“Hum hain Swiggy se, bhej dein kya (We are from Swiggy, shall we send food)?” was team Swiggy’s response.
And they were true to their word. Within hours, a group of delivery executives were sent with yummy food to SRK’s Mumbai home, Mannat.
Swiggy posted a picture of seven few delivery executives standing in front of Mannat with a caption that read, “Hum Swiggy wale hai aur hum dinner leke aagaye (We are from Swiggy and have brought you dinner).”
We are waiting for SRK’s word on whether he and the family enjoyed the dinner.
Or is he too embarrassed to react?
