Swimmers Of Sports Hostel In Bhubaneswar Accuse Coaches Of High-Handedness

Bhubaneswar: More than 50 swimmers of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel (BSH) at Kalinga Stadium here have submitted a petition with director of Sports and Youth Services department, accusing coaches of high-handedness.

They also accused them of neglecting those residing at the sports hostel and threatening to expel them if they complained about it to the department.

“We would be removed from the group during the traiuning and thrashed for no reason. They use extremely foul language while talking to sports hostel inmates,” alleged a swimmer.

“We received the players’ letter in our office. We will make an official inquiry soon. If anyone is found guilty, appropriate action will be taken,” Director, Sports and Youth Services department Dipankar Mohapatra told TNIE.
