Swine flu cases rise to 385

Bhubaneswar: Though no swine flu deaths had been reported in the last two days, four more fresh cases were detected on Wednesday.

Of the 22 swabs sent to Regional Medical Research Centre, four tested positive for the H1N1 virus. These cases were reported from SCB Medical College and Hospital (2), Kar Clinic (1) and SUM Hospital (1). They are natives of Khurda (1), Angul (1), Cuttack (1) and Puri (1).

On Tuesday, nine swabs were found infected with the viral influenza.

A total of 1,259 samples have been tested till date and 385 found positive for swine flu, which has so claimed 48 lives in the state this season.
