Bhubaneswar: A 45-year-old man succumbed to swine flu at VIMSAR in Burla on Tuesday, taking the toll to 30 in the state this season.
On the other hand, 14 of 29 swab samples sent for examination tested positive for the H1N1 virus. These cases were reported from Apollo Hospital (5), SCB Medical College and Hospital (3), VIMSAR (3) and one each from AIIMS, MKCG Medical College and Hospital and Eco Railway Hospital. The patients belong to Khurda (3), Cuttack (3), Balangir (2), Angul (1), Jagatsinghpur (1), Ganjam (1), Sonepur (1), Bargarh (1) and Kandhamal (1).
Of the 910 sample tested so far, 311 were found infected with the viral influenza.
