Bhubaneswar: Friday saw three persons succumbing to swine flu, taking the death toll in the state this season to seven.
A person from Burdel village in Bargarh district died while undergoing treatment at VIMSAR in Burla. While a 58-year-old woman of Burla succumbed to the H1N1 virus at Kalinga Hospital here, a 51-year-old man from Jatsinghpur breathed his last at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. All three had reported acute respiratory distress.
So far, 96 people have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus in the state.
Earlier, swab samples of a doctor working at the Orthopaedic department in Capital Hospital and a junior doctor of SCB were found positive for the vector-borne disease.
