Bhubaneswar: A day after the death a 52-year-old man infected by H1N1 virus, the state government on Sunday issued an advisory asking all government and private hospitals to open special isolation wards with ventilator facilities to treat swine flu cases.
The hospital authorities have also been asked to submit details and status of patients admitted and undergoing treatment on a daily basis. Besides, medical staff will be sensitised regarding the precautionary and prevention measures.
Meanwhile, two more persons have tested positive for H1N1 virus taking the number of those infected to 34.
A total of 177 blood samples have been tested at different hospitals across the state so far, official sources said.
As many as 13 persons had died of the virus in 2015.
