T20 World Cup For Blind: Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium To Host India-Bangladesh Match

Cuttack: The Barabati Stadium will stage one of India’s matches in the upcoming T20 World Cup for the Blind.

India will face Bangladesh here on December 13. The match will be organized by tournament hosts Cricket Association of Visually Impaired (CAVI), in association with Odisha Cricket Association and the state government’s Department of Sports & Youth Services.

Nakul Badanayaka, from Koraput district, is the only player from Odisha to be named in the Indian squad for the third edition of T20 World Cup for the Blind.

The tournament, to be held from December 6 to 17, will see 7 teams – India, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal — vying for the trophy.

Defending champions India will play Nepal in the opening game of the tournament on December 6, in Faridabad.

Former Team India player and two-time World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh is the brand ambassador for the tournament.
