New Delhi: There is no bigger rivalry in cricket than India versus Pakistan. High-octane clashes between the two teams have been held at multiple venues across continents over seven decades.
In six months’ time, the traditional rivals will fight another battle on a new battlefield.
According to the fixtures of the T20 World Cup released by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday, India and Pakistan will face off at New York’s Eisenhower Park on June 9.
For the first time, the US and Canada will be hosting the T20 World Cup along with the West Indies from June 1 to June 30.
India, placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and the USA, will be playing all their league games in the USA.
The top two teams from four groups will advance to the Super Eight stage where two further groups will be formed. The top two from the Super 8 groups will advance to the semifinals.
An ICC World Cup will feature 20 teams for the first time.
A total of 55 games will be played at nine venues in the West Indies and the US.

Group C — West Indies, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda and Papua New Guinea
Group D — South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal.
