Cuttack: The booking of tickets for the first T20 international cricket match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium, here, will begin from June 1.
Sanjay Behera, secretary, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), revealed this while speaking to media after a preparatory meeting held at the OCA office on Friday. The meeting was also attended by Sports Secretary R Vineel Krishna and Twin City Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi.
Announcing the rates of tickets, Behera said those would be higher for the T20 compared to previous cricket match. While each ticket for gallery number 1, 3 and 5 would cost Rs 900, it would be Rs 700 for gallery 2 and 4. For gallery number 7, the ticket would cost Rs 600 and for special enclosure Rs 5,000.
The cost of each seat in air-conditioned box would be Rs 7,000, new pavilion Rs 8,000 and corporate box Rs 12,000, Behera said. The online tickets will be sold through the Paytm application while offline tickets will be available on June 9 and 10. Total 5,000 tickets will be sold online, he added.
India will meet South Africa in the first T20I match of the 5-match series at Barabati Stadium on June 12.
