Talabania ASI Suspended For Dereliction Of Duty In Odisha’s Puri

Puri: The ASI of Talabania police station Laxman Saran was on Wednesday suspended by Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh for dereliction of duty.

As per sources, during patrolling on Tuesday the SP had visited Gridco Chhak where Saran was supposed to be on duty. However, he was absent during Singh’s visit and did not turn up even as waited at the place for a couple of hours. The SP ordered an inquiry following which he issued his suspension order.

Earlier on January 17, two police personnel accused of bribery and negligence in their duty were suspended and later arrested.
