Bhubaneswar: Teenaged Odisha cricketer Sushil Kumar Barik has been rewarded for his consistent performances. He has been selected for next month’s Under-19 BCCI One-Day Challenger Trophy.
Sushil impressed with his an all-round show for Odisha in the recent Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy meet. Though Odisha finished third in Elite Group A with 2 wins, 2 losses and a tie, Sushil scored some useful runs in the lower order and bagged crucial wickets.
According to Odisha Cricket Association, he will represent Team F in the U-19 Challenger Trophy, which gets underway in Ahmedabad on November 3.
He will link up with other members of the squad on October 25 before undergoing a quarantine period, as per BCCI’s bio-bubble COVID-19 protocol.
