Taliban With Us To Free Kashmir From India, Says PTI Leader

New Delhi: Pakistan’s ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader said that the Taliban would help Pakistan ‘liberate’ Kashmir from India.

“Taliban have said that they are with us and they will help us in [liberating] Kashmir,” PTI leader Neelam Irshad Sheikh said during a television debate.

Pakistani journalist and former ambassador to US, Hussain Haqqani retweeted the video of the news debate, which was recirculated by news agency ANI.

In the video surfaced, Sheikh was seen repeatedly asked by the news anchor about the source of her information. The anchor even wondered at one point if she read any such declaration by the Taliban on WhatsApp.

“Madam, do you realise what you have said. You have no idea what you just said. This show will air around the world; it will be viewed in India as well,” the news anchor was seen quizzing the PTI leader.

However, Sheikh emphasised on her statement that Pakistan has both the army strength and the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to help them “free Kashmir from India”.
