Tamil Nadu-Returned Man With COVID-19 Symptoms Admitted To Capital Hospital In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A man, who had recently returned from Tamil Nadu, was admitted to the isolation ward of Capital Hospital here on Thursday evening after he exhibited symptoms of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The man in his 30s worked in a khadi mill in Tamil Nadu and had returned to his hometown in Nayagarh a few days ago, sources said.

He first consulted at a local hospital, which referred him to Capital Hospital. His blood and swab samples have been sent for testing and the results are awaited.

Odisha Health Secretary Nikunja Dhal on Wednesday had said 14 of 16 samples had tested negative of coronavirus in the state.
