Mumbai: Television actress Tannaz Irani is under home quarantine after testing positive for the deadly coronavirus on Sunday.
Tannaz took to her Instagram handle to share the news with her fans.
“Positive me Tested Corona Positive today. ???? I’m praying that I hope I don’t infect anyone. @bhakhtyar thank you for being so cool and supportive and warm and understanding! Love you. #covid_19 #positive #fever #weakness #dull #headache #praying #familyfirst,” she posted, along with a photo of her while undergoing the COVID-19 test.
Tannaz features in Zee TV’s current daily soap ‘Apna Time Bhi Aayega’ and plays the role of Maharani Rajeshwari Singh Rawat.
Tannaz, who shot for the soap on Thursday, felt feverish while working with hubby Bhakhtyar during the weekend for a special ZEE5 project. When her temperature began to rise, the actor decided to take the COVID-19 test as a precaution.
Bhakhtyar told The Indian Express that while Tannaz had been taking all precautionary measures, she might have got infected because they have to off mask while facing the camera.
“Yes, people might call it just the flu but then the death rates have a different story to tell. I really hope people understand the seriousness, and start wearing masks, and that too properly. Tannaz, thankfully, is doing much better now. We have also sent the kids to my parents’ home. We pray that everyone remains safe,” said Bhakhtyar.
