Mumbai: Actress Tanushree Dutta has made fresh allegations against veteran actor Nana Patekar, claiming that he and his associates subjected her to distress, including alleged black magic and an attempt to poison her.
In a new video, Dutta also hit back at trolls questioning her remarks about Patekar following reports of his death, asking why people continue to burn Ravana’s effigy every year.
“Jo log meri trolling kar rahe hein vo kyu kar rahe hein mujmhe samja nahi araha, jis insaan ne meri zindagi khrab kardi, use mene evil dead boldiya toh itna Hungama hoga ya (I’m unable to understand why people are trolling me. The person who ruined my life—I called him ‘evil dead,’ and I didn’t expect it to create such a huge controversy),” she added.
Speaking about the distress she says she experienced, Dutta alleged that Patekar’s reported death had not changed her feelings about him.
“Ye jate jate bhi mujhe troll karke gaya mujhe pareshani dekar gaya, kuch aatmayein itni kali hoti hein (Even as he was leaving, he trolled me and left me troubled. Some souls are so dark),” she added.
Addressing criticism over her remarks, Dutta invoked the example of Ravana and questioned why people continue to burn his effigy every year.
“Mere dharam ne sikhaya hai ke shaitaan jeeteji shaitaan hai, aur marne ke baad bhi shaitaan hai
(My religion has taught me that the devil is a devil while alive, and remains a devil even after death),” she added.
She further remarked, “Tervi tak rahe pretlok mein, then off to hell.”
Dutta also questioned whether Patekar had actually died, linking her doubts to the renewed attention surrounding the Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian cases.
“Nana Patekar and his goons tried to make my life a living hell. If he has died, then he has died by his own hands, if that is indeed what happened. I am a little doubtful, though,” she said.
Referring to the cases involving Rajput and Salian, she claimed that several people had been exposed and that investigations were underway.
She further speculated that Patekar’s reported death could be a means of evading scrutiny.
In the same video, Dutta alleged that Patekar and his associates had attempted to use black magic against her.
She also claimed that a maid had been planted in her household to administer slow poison to her. These allegations remain unverified.
Meanwhile, Patekar, 75, reportedly died following a cardiac arrest on October 8.
According to the reports, he experienced severe chest pain at his residence in Goa and was taken to a private hospital in Dona Paula after reportedly being found unconscious.
