Berhampur: Treatment protocol advisor of Tata COVID Hospital at Sitalapalli Dr Umashankar Mishra along with his wife and two daughters has tested positive for COVID-19.
Dr Mishra, who is considered as the main architect of the successful treatment of COVID-19 patients in Ganjam district, said he felt uncomfortable four days back and was in home isolation since then.
The swab sample of Dr Mishra and 3 members of his family were sent for test on Saturday. The test report confirmed them to be COVID-19 positive on Sunday.
Dr Mishra, who is also Associate Professor, Medicine of MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, has been relentlessly working to contain COVID-19 in Ganjam from the beginning.
