Mumbai: Tata Motors has supplied 26 Ultra Urban electric buses to Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST).
It is a part of the government’s FAME II order of 340 e-buses to reduce pollution and dependence on foreign oil.
The buses have an automated ramp for easy ingress and egress of specially-abled passengers and come with modern features like WiFi hotspot, Intelligent Transport System (ITS), telematics system, regenerative braking system and charging ports.
Overall, Tata has so far supplied 215 electric buses across five cities in India.
