With most car manufacturers shying away from black colours in India, Tata Motors has taken a bold and beautiful approach. It has launched a special Dark Edition of the Harrier that has an all-black exterior and even all-black interiors.
The prices start at Rs 16.76 lakh for the top-spec XZ variant (ex-showroom, Delhi) similar to the dual-tone variants.
The exterior of the vehicle has darkened skid plates, grey headlamp inserts, blackened 17-inch alloys, and has the words ‘#Dark’ embedded.
The dashboard has ‘Blackstone Matrix’ insert in place of faux wood. The Humanity line running across the dashboard is now gunmetal grey. The seats are black leatherette with contrast grey stitching on the doors and perforated black leather finish on the door handles.
Mechanically, there are no changes. The Harrier is powered by the 2.0-litre 140hp diesel engine. The SUV is expected to get a new 170hp BS6 complaint engine, an automatic gearbox and 3-rows of seats in some time.
