New Delhi: Tata Motors’ latest car – Punch – is creating a buzz all over the country. While Tata has chosen to keep the safety rating of the mini SUV under wraps, the company’s website is believed to have accidentally leaked it.
According to the website, the Punch has scored full 5 stars on the Global NCAP crash test.
It is important to note that Tata’s new cars have become synonymous with safety and the lowest score achieved is an impressive 4 stars.
Based on the Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) architecture, the Punch uses the same platform as the Altroz hatchback, which also received 5 stars.
Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Safety Control, ISOFIX anchor points, driver and co-driver seatbelt reminders, and Brake Sway Control.
Tata is yet to reveal the pricing and fuel efficiency of the new SUV.
