Dhenkanal: The Tata Steel BSL plant located in Dhenkanal has bagged the gold award for outstanding achievement in environmental excellence at the Apex India Green Leaf Awards 2019.
Chief, Shared Services of the Dhenkanal plant, Harbinder Singh Deepak received the award at a virtual ceremony.
Apart from this, the company’s Khopoli plant in Raigad district of Maharashtra won the platinum award for its outstanding achievement in energy efficiency and the gold award for outstanding achievement in environmental excellence.
Tata Steel BSL’s Sahibabad plant in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh also received the platinum award for outstanding achievement in water stewardship.
Besides, Chief, Environment at Tata Steel BSL, Saroj Banerjee was honoured with the Apex India Green Leaf Emerging Environmentalist award 2019 for his dedication, innovative work and contributions towards environment management.
